Q. ALLAN BROCKA (writer/director)
Q. Allan Brocka’s first film school project, RICK & STEVE THE HAPPIEST GAY COUPLE IN ALL THE WORLD, screened at Sundance and over 200 international film festivals. The film won enthusiastic reviews, a host of prizes, and a theatrical release through the Spike & Mike Festival of Animation, earning him instant notoriety. Still in film school, Brocka finished three more installments of the RICK & STEVE series for UNIVERSAL PICTURES' Hypnotic website. The episodes continue to win awards on the film festival circuit.
His thesis film, ROBERTA LOVED, was released to rave reviews and continues to play festivals around the world. The film won several awards including the Grand Jury Prize in Italy's Corto Imola Festival and earned him a spot in the FOX Searchlight New Director's Program. There he directed the short SEVENTY which won him another audience award from the New York Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.
Brocka was named by VARIETY as one of five gay and lesbian directors to watch. He stars in the AMC's documentary feature GAY HOLLWOOD, which follows five openly gay men as they build careers in the entertainment industry. He recently completed PORNO VALLEY a 13 part documentary series for SKY ONE UK which follows the real live of the Vivid Girls.
Brocka was born in Guam and raised around the world. As a teenager, he settled in Seattle, where he earned a communications degree from the University of Washington. He moved to Los Angeles and earned his master's degree in film at California Institute of the Arts in 2001. EATING OUT is his first feature.
DANIELLE PROBST (producer)
Danielle Probst is a native of Washington, DC. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA photography & performance) and the American Film Institute (MFA producing). Her articles and reviews of alternative theater and performance art have appeared in P-Form and the New Art Examiner. She has worked for such companies as USA Films, the Writers Guild of America and 20th Century Fox and on network television sitcoms, “Inside Schwartz” and the Nathan Lane starrer, “Charlie Lawrence”. Her previous feature credits include, HAPPY CAMPERS for New Line Cinema and a turn in the Art Department on the independent feature, ON EDGE, starring Jason Alexander. Probst has produced several short videos and films including LOST CAUSE, an official selection of the Slamdance 2000 Film Festival and BOYCHICK, winner in the Best Short Film category at the Seattle International Film Festival 2002. EATING OUT is her debut feature as Producer/UPM. Her company, Brown Probst Productions, currently has several features in various stages of development and pre-production.
MICHAEL J. SHOEL (producer)
Michael J. Shoel, co-founder of Ariztical Entertainment, has been promoting independent films for over fifteen years. Through Ariztical, Shoel seeks to align himself with productions that fulfill his company's goal of "building bridges and breaking through barriers."
His entry into the business side of entertainment began during a telemarketing stint while pursuing the "uncommon career goal of being an actor in Hollywood." Working for Video Gems, an early home video label, telemarketing VHS copies of PIPI LONGSTOCKING at $59.95, he discovered a passion for promotion and development in the entertainment industry, and a new career was born.
Beginning with the silly CANNIBAL CAMPOUT (where Saturday's campers become Sunday's brunch), to more serious productions such as the Bulgarian post cold war drama CANARY SEASON and titles featuring and starring, Dame Edna, Greg Louganis, Mario Lopez ,and Dana Plato, he has built a thriving home video/dvd acquisitions and distribution company.
Since completing production on EATING OUT, Shoel has completed production on two direct to video features, DAYDREAM OBSESSION and GROUP THERAPY. Shoel makes his home in Tucson, Arizona.
JEFFREY SCHWARZ (associate producer)
Jeffrey Schwarz is founder and CEO of Automat Pictures, a Los Angeles based production company. His work as producer/director includes "Mysteries of Love," a retrospective look at David Lynch's Blue Velvet, "Inside the Labyrinth: The Making of The Silence of the Lambs," "Blonde Poison: The Making of Basic Instinct," and "Chainsaw Redux," an in-depth documentary about Michael Bay and Marcus Nispel's remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Recent projects include "People Like Us: Making Philadelphia," which premiered at the 2003 San Francisco Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, and "Meet Bob Shaye," a portrait of New Line founder Robert Shaye.

Keith J. Duggan, SOC began lighting and shooting in 1990. He soon progressed to become a Director of Photography for AMC, and the Digital Entertainment Network (DEN), which produced over 30 Internet based episodic programs including, TALES FROM THE EASTSIDE, and FRAT RATZ.
Since then, Keith has lensed fourteen independent features, four national commercials, and over a dozen music videos. He has worked as the second unit D.P. on several studio projects; including a pilot for Warner Brothers’ entitled, “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.” He has worked with some of the top people in the industry, including Jay Kogen, the Emmy Award winning writer from “Fraiser” and “The Simpsons,” Lex duPont, the Director of Photography from NYPD Blue, and John Putch, the Director of “Grounded for Life” and “BachelorMan.”
Keith was trained by the Sony High Definition Center in the world of 24p High Definition (24p HD). Using his new knowledge of 24p HD, he has re-created a feature he originally shot on film in 1991, When Night Falls. Since then, Keith has been the Director of Photography on many 24p HD features, including BACHELORMAN, and THE BOSTON STRANGLER. In addition to his features, Keith has lensed several 24p HD shorts including THE RULES, and Living in Walter’s World.
Keith’s television credits include: Jimmy Kimmel LIVE, Playboy TV, The Bachelor, Meet My Folks, Mr. Personality, MTV’s Dismissed, MTV’s Making the Video, MTV’s The Osbournes, MTV’s Becoming, Day & Date, and The Howard Stern Show.

Born in Switzerland, Dominik Hauser was educated at the Jazz School Switzerland where he received his master's degree in music. As composer, arranger and bass player for the jazz-funk group THE RULELESS he was awarded the prestigious PRIX WALO and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival. After moving to Los Angeles in 1996 he studied film scoring at UCLA and began working in the film industry composing for independent films. He was a semifinalist at the Young Film Composer Competition in 2002. He's been involved in projects like FREDDY VS. JASON and DAREDEVIL. Currently he is working on several composing and arranging projects.
