Disturbed, Not Shaken was a sinister tale of three gay neighbors with
horrible lives dealing with every gay film cliche I was tired of at the time: hustlers,
suicide, AIDS, and coming out. I thought I'd go overboard and take each of these issues to
the melodramatic extreme resulting in a sickly comic, bloody, and unsettling climax. (23
